Ryan Boyer grew up in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. In high school he began building custom homes with his family friend, Rob Martin of Martin Design. Ryan worked for Martin as an apprentice and journey-level carpenter for high level executives of Apple, which was just gaining success as a Silicon Valley Startup. The work was hard but rewarding, and allowed him to obtain a degree from UC Davis.
While applying to medical schools, Ryan's passion for skiing and climbing diverted his energies, and took him down a different path. He moved to Mammoth Lakes in 1999 with his future bride Kami, who he met while driving tomato trucks (a long but fantastic story- just imagine the conversation with his mother). In Mammoth Lakes, he rekindled his interest in building and started his company Boyer Construction in 2003 (incorporating in 2004). For many years Boyer Construction built high-level customs, single-family residences, large additions, and remodels.
In 2016, Ryan was asked to assist in the restructuring of a reputable custom home building company in Truckee, acting as Vice President and COO. Once the company was on solid ground, Ryan re-opened the Boyer Construction doors. Boyer Construction serves Truckee, Mammoth Lakes and the surrounding Eastern Sierra.
